Pro Paint WNY started the way most good things do. Someone needed a job done, and word got around that it was done right. Over 30 years ago, Joe Gworek was a police officer with the Amherst Police Department looking for a way to earn some extra income. He picked up a brush, did quality work at an honest price, and, before long, the calls kept coming without him ever having to ask for them.

Meet Joe and Allen Gworek

Pro Paint WNY is run by a father and son who have been working side by side for over two decades. Here is their story.

Joe Gworek

Over 30 years ago, as a police officer with the Amherst Police Department, Joe was looking for a way to earn some extra income. He started painting on the side, and his reputation spread quickly. Pro Paint WNY was built entirely on the quality of the work and the trust customers placed in it.

With a background as a detective for the Amherst Police Department, Joe understands better than most what it means to earn someone’s trust when they invite you into their home or business. Nothing makes him happier than a customer who calls back and recommends Pro Paint to their neighbors.

Allen Gworek

Operations
Allen has been working alongside his father since the early years of Pro Paint WNY. With over 20 years in the company, he has grown into the operational side of the business and learned that running a great painting company takes far more than applying paint. It takes dedication, honesty, and a genuine commitment to customer service.
Allen joined the United States Marine Corps in 2001 and served for four years, including time in Kuwait and Iraq. The discipline and work ethic he brought back from that service show in everything he does. His standard is simple: get the job done right the first time.
